Kiefer Sutherland’s high-stakes espionage series Rabbit Hole is set to reach new UK audiences via ITVX, where all episodes of the cancelled show will stream for free starting Sunday, 11 May 2025.
Released initially on Paramount+ in March 2023, Rabbit Hole saw Sutherland return to familiar territory, portraying corporate spy John Weir—a master manipulator framed for murder by a shadowy force far more dangerous than expected. As Weir works to prove his innocence, he unearths a global conspiracy that threatens democratic foundations.
Despite plans for future seasons, Rabbit Hole was cancelled after just one, leaving behind a tight eight-episode arc full of intrigue, betrayal, and modern paranoia. While Paramount+ retains the full season in its library, the streamer has dropped exclusive rights to spotlight other titles such as MobLand and 1923.
ITV’s Head of Content Acquisitions, Sasha Breslau, praised the addition, calling Sutherland magnetic in what she described as an addictive and tense thriller, ideal for ITVX’s premium drama lineup.
Alongside Sutherland, the cast features Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), Meta Golding (Empire), Rob Yang (Succession), Jason Butler Harner (The Handmaid’s Tale), Wendy Makkena (Sister Act), and Ishan Davé (Kim’s Convenience).
The show pays homage to classic 1970s thrillers like The Parallax View and Three Days of the Condor, which Sutherland cited as inspiration during interviews. Though brief, Rabbit Hole delivers a modern take on the genre with tech-driven paranoia and sharp twists..
