According to Deadline.com, Kiefer Sutherland is heading back into villain territory with Stone Cold Fox, a new 1980s-set revenge thriller making its international sales debut at Cannes. The film sees Sutherland portray a corrupt cop chasing down a runaway named Fox, played by Kiernan Shipka, who’s on a mission to rescue her kidnapped sister from a violent commune run by Krysten Ritter’s queenpin character.
Directed by Sophie Tabet in her feature debut and co-written with Julia Roth, the film is produced by Bee-Hive Productions, The Wonder Company, and Bang Bang Pictures. Supporting cast includes Lorenza Izzo, Jamie Chung, and Karen Fukuhara. UTA Independent Group and Verve Ventures rep North American rights.
Described as wild, original, and energetic, the Syndicate will showcase the film during the Cannes Film Market.
